Dear Andrea, 

I know that this letter is much too long over due, but unfortunately I had to get physically "snowed in", to take the time to actually sit down and write it.  Here is my personal testimonial.  My husband and I had Andrea construct a pool for us this past spring.  The funny thing about the whole situation was that we were not even planning on getting a pool until our children were old enough to swim.  I have two children, a four year old daughter whom at the time was a beginner swimmer at best and I also have a son whom at the time was 18 months old, we're not talking about your typical 18 month old, he literally has NO FEAR, and  could obviously not swim.  One of my closest friends however had just purchased a new home and was looking into putting a pool in a.s.a.p.  Which leads me onto to how I stumbled upon Pioneer Pools.  It just so happened that I was looking through the, "Hudson Valley Magazine", while I was at the gym one morning and saw one of Andrea's advertisements.  I immediately thought to myself that if my best friend was going to put in a pool this is what she should get so that I could be there all of the time.  In which case, I decided to rip out the ad and give it to her that day.  Not too long after that I happened to be at her house and saw a sketch that Wolfgang, one of Andrea's partners, had put together for her and her husband and was extremely impressed.  About the same time my husband and I were planning on doing a summer project which consisted of a new deck and hot-tub, the problem was that we really did not want just a box sitting on top of a deck, we were looking for something that could add to the beauty of our home and its surroundings while at the same time being a safe environment for our children.  Even though we were just at the start of the project we were already at our wits end with the lack of creativity and ideas which were available to us. So I decided to give Pioneer a call and schedule a meeting, just to see what they could come up with, if anything at all.  If my memory serves me correctly, I called on a Monday and by Wednesday evening Andrea and Wolfgang were at my home to meet with us and get a basic idea as to what we were looking for.  I was very adamant about conveying to Andrea that I did NOT want a pool at this present time and that the plans could include a pool to be worked in at a future date but nothing more than that.  Andrea promised me that he could teach our son to swim in three weeks and that we would love having a pool but I still was not convinced.  Two days later Andrea and Wolfgang were back at my home with some sketches for a deck, hot-tub, and a pool.  Andrea assured my husband and I that it would be safe because of the fence which had a child-safe gate and would also have alarms installed if by chance one of the children should somehow get past the fence.  By the time they left my home my husband had given them a deposit for the whole kit and caboodle and we were going to be the first pool put in that season.  I believe they broke ground towards the end of April and we were swimming in the pool for my daughters’ fifth birthday party on May 28th.  The experience, like any other major construction project had its obstacles, but the one thing that was different was that Andrea was always there to make sure that no matter how big or small the problem was he would get to the bottom of it and make it right.  That is one thing that I cannot honestly say about any other construction company that I have ever done business with.  This coupled with his ability to visualize the finished product and construct such beautiful pools makes him by far bar none the best at what he does.  It's funny because now I look back and remember how much I really did not want a pool which was actually so foolish because I spent more quality time with my children this summer than any other and look forward to all of our future summers spent together in our backyard.  Thank you Andrea and Pioneer Pool's for having the ability to see that this is not just a monetary investment but is actually an investment in our family.

We thought we were getting a pool, but ended up with a masterpiece — a work of art.  Our pool and patio are truly the "show piece" of our house.

In just 29 days, Pioneer Natural Pools had the two of us swimming in a pool that, to this day , still takes our breath away.  The hand-crafted stone work is arguably the finest masonry one will ever see.

The pool, working waterfall, and spa are solid cement.  The patio is and Idaho Quartzite Stone, hand carved and laid in place piece by piece.  When the sun shines, the pool is a radiant deep aqua.  In our sun drenched yard, the Idaho Quartzite patio never gets hot under foot.

At night. we have lights inside the pool & spa that give off several vibrant shades of purples, blues, reds, yellows, etc.  The lights are controlled by a "touch tone" pad in our house.  The pad also controls the heat for both the pool and spa.

You cannot purchase any "upgrades" to a Pioneer Natural Pool.  Andrea Sardelli and his staff make pools just one way — top shelf.  If there is a nicer pool in Dutchess County, NY we won't believe it until we see it.

Where do we begin...We first heard about Pioneer through customers at our business.  They all had different things they liked best, but the one constant theme was how unique their particular pool turned out.  Andrea Sardelli is an artist.  From the first day in our backyard, he was talking about ideas had for our pool as if he had lived there for years.

Alan and Evelyn Natter  OUR EXPERIENCE WITH PIONEER NATURAL POOLS

We learned of Pioneer Natural Pools from an ad in the Woodstock Times. We had a 50+ year old concrete pool in desperate need of repair. Mike and Humberto came to our house to look at the landscape, talk to us about what we wanted and throw out some ideas. They told us about their pool construction and features. For example, no diving boards, a diving rock, no ladders, a step out from the deep end. At the end of our meeting, they left with the information they needed to go forward and promised to put what we discussed on paper. At our next meeting they brought a rendering of what the pool might look like. They also brought Andrea Sardelli, the owner and force behind the company. After seeing the situation for himself, he went over some refinements of the basic idea: construct a slightly smaller pool of irregular shape (natural) within the existing pool. He also noticed the large number of rocks and rock outcroppings in the area and envisioned moving a number of these rocks into the pool area arranged in a functional and aesthetic manner. He took us to a number of homes in Duchess County where the company had built pools the previous summer. A week later they had priced the project and promised to complete the work within 21 days. As it was late in October with cold weather likely to set in soon, we were concerned with finishing the job that fall. Andrea assured us the work would be completed on time.

Construction took 11 days for a 24 foot by 40 foot pool from the day they started work later that week to the time it was filled with water. In addition to the pool, those significant rocks were moved into place, a fairly sizeable deck of irregular stone set on concrete with mortar joint was laid, a base for a gazebo was poured and substantial electrical work was completed in that time. All materials and workmanship in our opinion was first class. Andrea' workers were there early in the morning and stayed until after dark to get the job finished. At our second meeting with Andrea he said we wouldn't see him again, as his men knew what was required and would do the work as required. However, he was there quite often directing the job and explaining precisely what he wanted. Andreas was certainly there for all the major steps such as shooting the gunite, plastering the finish and filling the pool. He answered all of our concerns and seemed to go out of his way to make sure everything was done as it should be. His staff and crew were equally concerned with pleasing their clients.

A weekender neighbor who was away during the week came up after the pool was filled. She can see the pool from her home as the tree leaves are now down. She called to ask why we removed the pool and put a pond in. She was amazed to find out it was still a pool, that's how "natural" it now looks. We would not hesitate to recommend Pioneer Natural Pools to anyone interested in having a quality pool unique in style and arrangement.

In March of 2004, I gave a different pool company a deposit for a new pool. My pool was to be started in May, it was now June and no work had begun. Pioneer Pools was doing a pool in my development and a friend of mine recommended them to me. At that time Andrea called me and came over to give me an estimate. We contracted Pioneer Pools to do the job and they started the very next day. The pool was complete in 20 days and we did not lose the season. We had a great 4th of July Party!!!!
